Harness Breeders Victoria, with Mitavite, BetaVet and Nutrien Equine are pleased to be sponsoring four awards to the best presented yearlings in the Woodlands Stud Nutrien Yearling Parade at 12PM on Saturday 13 April 2024.

This series, recognising the best presented colt and filly of each gait, is designed to reward the efforts of staff within the industry who prepare yearlings for the sales.

Every horse in the Melbourne catalogue is eligible to win one of four Awards, with an independent judge (announced soon) making their selection using the following criteria:

  • Conformation, muscle development and athleticism

  • Presentation of the handler

  • Coat condition

  • Behaviour during inspection and presentation during parade

  • Overall impression

The four winners will receive a trophy from HBV, a garland from Nutrien and products from the other sponsors, Mitavite and BetaVet.

These awards are part of a broader initiative being developed by HBV to reward, encourage, educate and retain those within the Standardbred breeding industry.
