2023 Nutrien Best Presented Yearlings

Once again the standard for preparation of yearlings at the Melbourne Nutrien Equine sale was significantly high, and gave our judge, Dr James Gilkerson a real headache trying to separate them all to find the best presented!

Thank you to our partners in this endeavour to recognise and reward the efforts of industry staff who prepare the yearlings for sale each year - Nutrien Equine, Barastoc and BetaVet. The criteria used to assess each yearling were confirmation, muscle development, athleticism, handler presentation, coat condition, behaviour during inspection, presentation during parade and overall impression, and they were judged during the Woodlands Stud Yearling Parade on Saturday afternoon.
