- 'Mr Elitlopp' Rune Stolt passes away aged 82
- Rune Stolt, the race secretary at Solvalla who formed and mastered the Elitlopp for many years, has passed away in Stockholm, Sweden at 82 years of age. Rune Stolt was a gentle person who had many friends over all over the world of harness racing.

- Doully pulled off a mild harness racing upset in the evening's $14,000 trotting feature at Saratoga Casino and Raceway on Friday night. The Melissa Beckwith trained five year old moved first over at the half mile pole, coming after the race's odds-on favorite Prime Interest (Billy Dobson).
