Communication to Members

“MEMBERS ONLY” REGISTERED AREA

  • The Association will develop a special “Members Only” area requiring registration for access with a specific password. It will also include an “opt In  / Opt out”  provision.
  • It is intended that a dedicated email messaging service will be enabled to forward to all members important information, news and identified issues for circulation and consideration.
  • Other feature areas are being currently explored to provide members with other information and benefits.

NEWS, NEWS, & MORE NEWS together with LINKS, LINKS & MORE LINKS

  • The website being developed allows you to access the dedicated news feeds of Harness Racing Australia, the United States Trotting Association, Harness Racing New Zealand, Standardbred Canada, Harnesslink and Harness Racing Victoria together with their Breeding information areas.
  • In addition, a range of other links have been identified of other Breeding and industry related websites. So put HBV’s website into your “favourites” , catch-up on our news then click to access news from around the Harness Racing world.
  • Note that links access to websites changes and is updated constantly. We hope to be able to regularly update and further develop our links list. So please advise us if a website becomes inoperative or you have found a harness related site that we should include on our website lists.
  • PLEASE NOTE that by providing links to other sites that Harness Breeders Victoria does not approve, endorse or guarantee the information or products available at these sites, nor does a link indicate any association with, or endorsement by, the linked site to Harness Breeders Victoria.

PUBLICATIONS &  BREEDING NEWS

  • The Australasian Standardbred Stallion Guide is issued to all Members and Breeders annually.
  • TrackBred, our informative quarterly magazine, is sent to all HBV and other State Breeding Associations’ Members. It contains articles and information important to all members together with upcoming events and activities.
  • The Harness Racer published and issued by Harness Racing Victoria monthly contains the Association’s current Breeding news on selected topics from the Secretary.
  • The President and Secretary also regularly provide the Association’s current monthly news on the Association’s website. The upcoming events and functions for the Association will also be highlighted on the revised Homepage.
  • Harness Breeders Victoria wishes to thank all Contributors to its various communication mechanism in providing breeding related and industry information.

SOCIAL MEDIA

  • The Association is currently looking at a range of Social Media areas.
  • Twitter, Facebook,  Linkedin and YouTube are being considered to add to our website to enable interaction between the Association, Breeders and Industry Participants. When determined, we will consider adding one or more to our website.
  • Please note that specific Social Media Guidelines will also be incorporated into this area of the website.

  • TrackBred Issues to be sent in Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer.
  • Australasian Breeders Crown Final & Luncheon, Sunday, 19th August 2012, Tabcorp Park, Melton.
  • The Australasian Standardbred Stallion Guide 2011/12, Distribution occurred from early September as scheduled. President Tony Britt congratulates Des McQueen and the Publication Team on their achievement.
  • VicBred Finals (Refer the monthly Harness Racer).
  • HBV Annual General Meeting, Sunday, 16th October 2011, 2.30pm, Lords Raceway, Bendigo.
  • HBV Gala 17th Presentation Night, 4th November 2011, 6.00pm for 6.30pm, Tabcorp Park, Melton.
